Michael D. Fraizer

Genworth Financial

Michael D. Fraizer has been Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Genworth Financial since 2004. Previously, over a 24 year career with GE, he held many positions, including Senior Vice President of GE and Director of GE Capital, and served as President and CEO of GE Financial Assurance Holdings, Inc.

Fraizer serves as a trustee of the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges and for the Richmond Performing Arts CenterStage. Additionally, he and his wife founded the Mary & Frances Youth Center on the VCU campus in partnership with the University. He is also a member of the executive counsel of the P-20 Bridging Richmond Education Initiative.  He serves on the Boards of the American Council of Life Insurers and the Financial Services Roundtable. He received a B.A. in political science from Carleton College in 1980.
